The leader of the highland tribes of Caledonia in opposition to Rome who was resoundingly beaten in 84AD at the battle of Mons Graupius by the legate, Gnaeus Julius Agricola. His address to the Caledonian host of around 30,000 men before the battle of Mons Graupius is recorded in Tacitus’ Agricola.
