Local industry is represented by a Villa at Ashtead (TQ1760) with Tile Kilns nearby at Ashtead (TQ1860) and Epsom (TQ1861). There are substantial Roman buildings to the north-east at Beddington (TQ2965) and along the main road to the south-west at Ashtead (TQ1958). There are other villas near the Pilgrims’ Way at Walton on the Hill (TQ2255) and Walton Heath (TQ2353).
