Hayton Roman Fort
Flavian Auxiliary Fort (AD 69–96)
The site of Hayton Roman double-ditched fort, dated to about AD 70-80, and occupied only for a short time. The monument was seen as earthworks and has been partially excavated. Evidence for Saxon settlement was also uncovered.
