Stoke Bruerne
Villa
Excavation uncovered the site of a Roman villa; cropmarks show it is of double corridor plan with outbuildings on three sides of a courtyard.
Excavations at Stoke Bruerne in 1969
… parch marks in grass 1km (1,100yds) east of the village revealed a small corridor villa with associated farm buildings. Surface finds indicate tessellated and heated floors.” (Britannia, 1970)
