A large courtyard house, with its own small bathhouse, was constructed in the mid 2nd century in the corner of the fort. The garrison had been reduced by AD 120 so presumably there was more space in the fort. This impressive building may have been the residence of an important official who was possibly in charge of regional mineral extraction. The bath-house would seem to be unfinished because it showed no sign of being fired for use.
