Water Eaton (Stretton Mill) 3 Temporary Camp
Marching or Temporary Camps
The northern corner angle, a short length of the north-east side and a longer length of the north-west side of this camp have been established. The south-western parts of this camp are overlaid by the south-eastern defences of the Stretton Mill fort.
Within the whole Water Eaton complex none of the camps occupy positions as good as those utilised by the two forts and the vexillation fortress. The presumption must be that, with the possible exception of camp 3, each of them was dependent upon one of the permanent establishments.
