Highgate Wood Pottery Factory
Pottery
The Highgate Wood site was discovered during a field survey in 1962 in which Roman pottery fragments were observed. As a result, starting from 1966, excavations were undertaken by the authors. A large quantity of Roman pottery including wasters, as well as baked-clay and fire-bar fragments, suggested the presence of pottery kilns.
