Elton Villa
Villa
This villa was suspected from surface finds of Roman pottery on the left? bank of Billing Brook, 3.5km east of Elton. Trial trenching in 1970 established the presence of a 40 feet (12 m) long rectangular building of stone, and established the main period of occupation during the late-3rd and 4th centuries.
