Llantrithyd Camp
Iron Age Hillfort
Llantrithyd Camp consists of the remains of an earthwork enclosure, likely dating to the later prehistoric period (c. 800-AD74), situated on a gentle ridge with a slight slope towards the south-east. The enclosure is roughly circular in shape, enclosed by a low bank, with an additional outer bank in some areas. On the south side, the bank has an internal height of 0.7m and an external height of 1m, with a 6m wide berm outside it, followed by a drop of 1-1.4m. However, the bank on the south-east side has been damaged due to past quarrying.
