Gask Ridge Signal Station

At least ten "signal stations" are set along the line of a Roman road from Strageath fort towards Perth. Small excavations at Gask House, Parkneuk and Roundlaw suggested that they took the form of wooden towers about 3m square enclosed by a bank and ditch. Each had one entrance / causeway facing on to the Roman road, and each is visible to the two adjacent stations.
