Ochtertyre Temporary Camp
Marching or Temporary Camp
Discovered in 1982 this camp lies in pasture on the south bank of the River Teith. The perimeter is only partially recorded but topography would limit the camps size. The placement is a good indication as to the Roman crossing-point of the Teith.
There is another camp on the opposite bank of the River Tieth at Craigarnhall.
